The Ustaoglu Shipyard was established in 1968 in the Black Sea resort of Eregli. This shipyard was formed to initially build various types of fishing boats for the local and international community.
As the company’s reputation grew, the demand for new build vessels forced the company to relocate to larger premises with more modern and sophisticated machinery sought to help continue the company’s growth for the future.
By 1989, the Ustaoglu Shipyard was now constructing larger steel vessels including luxury yachts, passenger vessels, dry cargo vessels and tankers.
Our company has always believed in using the most advanced designs and technologies in order to exceed our customers expectations. By 1990, our company was now selling ships to international clients in Israel, Germany and Malta to name but a few.
2005 witnessed many significant changes in our company’s growth and development. In 2005, all our facilities were transferred to our new shipyard which was designated by the Turkish Government. In 2005, Usmed is formed on the previous site of Ustaoglu in partnership with Med Marine to build specialist vessels such as special chemical tankers and high quality harbour tugs.
Our Ustaoglu Shipyard has instead chosen to focus on a wide range of vessels including yachts and ships our valued customers. At this moment in time, Usmed is constructing 3 ships that will be completed very soon.
